Klyde Breitton is a Taiwanese-American artist based in New York City working across photography, moving image, writing, and performance. Drawing from his movement practice in dance, his work is anchored in the body as a site of desire that both courts and resists capture in image production. Through appropriating historical photographic techniques and refusing immediate legibility, his works subvert the politics of seeing in an era of hyper-visibility while inviting the viewer into an experience of slow looking.

He is currently an MFA Candidate in the Image Text program at Cornell University (Class of '27).
